Practice Slip Due:

Week of October 30th

LMS Orchestras

Practice slips are due Monday, 10/30. This is the last practice slip of the first quarter. First quarter ends Friday, 11/3. Late practice slips are due by Friday, 11/3 to be counted on the first quarter grade.

All Extra Credit is due by Wednesday, 11/1.

Extra Credit Opportunity:

The Washington-Idaho Symphony has a concert this weekend: Saturday, 10/28 at 7:30 pm in the Ensminger Pavilion on the WSU campus and Sunday, 10/29 at 3:00 pm at Lewiston High School. The Symphony will be performing “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi with Dr. Ferenc Cszeko on violin.

The 6th, 7th, and 8th graders have a concert coming up on Thursday, 11/30. The concert will be at 7:30 pm and will either be at LMS in the Commons (if the lights are repaired by then) or at PHS in the Theatre. I will let everyone know the location as soon as I am able.

A reminder about concert clothing requirements: black pants or skirt, black hosiery, black shoes, white blouse or shirt with a collar such as a dress shirt or polo shirt.

PHS Orchestras

Practice slips are due Monday, 10/30.

The Blue Orchestra will be participating in the WSU Orchestra festival on Friday, 11/17. We will leave PHS at 7:15 am (yuck!) and go up to Kimbrough Music Building on the WSU campus. Our performance time on stage in Kimbrough recital hall is 8:00 am, and our clinic will be at 8:25 am. After our clinic, we will listen to some of the other Orchestras, and then return to PHS at 11:00 am. We would love to have an audience for our performance: parents who are able, please come and listen to us at 8:00! It’s always kind of a bummer to perform for a mostly empty recital hall. I will send home itineraries and permission slips next week for this event.
