Week of April 23rd
Congratulations to the 6th graders on a wonderful concert last week! I am so proud of these students. They have worked so hard and learned so much. We will continue to work and improve even more in the remaining weeks of school. These kids are fantastic!
Practice slips are due Monday, 4/23 (100 minutes.)
6th graders will have a test over Unit 18 on Thursday (4/26). Students may choose to play lines 1 and 2 or lines 3 and 4
8th graders will do some “Giving Bach” outreach this week. I sent home the itinerary and permission slip last Thursday; please return the permission slip on Monday. We will be going to each elementary school and visiting their Orchestra students as well as a Kindergarten class at Jefferson. I’ll do my best to get some pictures!
Practice slips are due Monday, 4/23 (150 minutes.) This is the last practice slip of the grading period, which ends Friday, 4/27.
Blue Orchestra students: Lettering points are due Wednesday, 5/2. I handed the forms out in class last week. Also, senior information sheets are due that day too.
Our Spring concert is coming up Wednesday, 5/9 at 7:30 pm in the PHS Auditorium. It will feature both the Gray and Blue Orchestras as well as celebrating our Seniors. Invite your friends and neighbors! This is going to be an awesome concert.
We will be going to Silverwood on Thursday, 5/17. We will leave at about 8:45 am and will return to PHS by about 6:30 pm. If anyone is interested in going on this trip to drive instruments (large vehicle needed) and/or chaperone please let me know. You will get into Silverwood for free.
Good luck to Evie Aguilar, Meghna Dutta, and Rebekah Heo who will be representing PHS at the State solo and ensemble contest this Saturday in Ellensburg!← Week of April 16th Week of April 30th →
