7th and 8th graders: Congratulations on a marvelous concert last week! You were outstanding!

Practice slips are due Tuesday, 5/29 (100 minutes.) This is the second to last practice slip of the school year. The final practice slip will be due Monday, 6/4. All late practice slips for the week of 6/4 must be turned in by Monday, 6/11. All Extra Credit is also due by Monday, 6/11.

Dr. Ruth Boden, professor of cello and bass, will be coming in Tuesday, 5/29 to play for all Orchestra classes and also to listen to them and give some feedback. It will be a great day!

6th graders will have a test over Unit 21 on Wednesday, 5/30. Students may choose to play lines 1 and 2 or lines 3 and 4.

8th graders will be testing on Thursday, 5/31, so they do not need to bring instruments to school that day.

For all students, the last day to bring instruments to school is Friday, 6/1. I will collect all school instruments on that day. Students who have their own instrument at school should take it home on 6/1 and not bring it back to school.

8th graders: please bring in $2 for our Pizza celebration by Friday, 6/1.

Monday, 6/4, we will be doing a review of musical concepts with Music Jeopardy with all classes. We will do our State Classroom Based Performance Assessment Tuesday and Wednesday, 6/5 and 6/6, and then we will do our “Musical Analysis in Popular Cinema” activity Thursday, 6/7 through Tuesday, 6/12. For the CBPA and the MAPC, students only need to bring a writing utensil and something upon which to write for class.
